If you are unaware, in the US, many attorneys want NOTHING to do with anyone in the escort industry who owns an escort service. It’s appalling to me that they would rather represent a criminal who kills, rapes or steals from others, than an entrepreneur in the escort industry who is just running a business just like everyone else. Here are some points to educate you:

A lot of it is based on stereotypes and a lack of understanding of what the representation of these escort business clients means in the real world.

Now they may not turn you away if you walk in after setting up an appointment to go see your average lawyer, but do you really want someone who doesn’t totally believe in your business and has your back?

They seem to feel more comfortable representing escorts or prostitutes.

The top interference lines my legal guy usually got were one or more of the following:

1. They watch too much TV/movies – they think representing this type of clientele will lead to waiting rooms full of the stereotypical street hookers/pimps, or “not the kind of people” they want to be seen associating with.
2. Although this is a prime skill in lawyering, in his experience, attorneys like to think they’re helping people avoid trouble. Help them get their lives back together, etc.

   They don’t like being called on to help folks knowingly evade or defeat the law.

   There is a fine ethical line between “zealously representing your client” and “aiding and abetting” crimes. They would much rather hear, “I screwed up and got charged with _________________.” It was a mistake and I’ll never do THAT again, than “help me continue to break the law and not get caught.”

   This is the same reason nobody wants to represent the mob anymore even though they pay well and keep sending them business. WOW, now we are supposedly on the SAME level as the mob.

   Just so everyone knows, I NEVER EVER dealt with criminals when I ran my escort agency and trust me, there were some petty ones floating around who I had to constantly watch over so as to not hurt my company.

   I ALWAYS swore, that if someone from the mafia ever approached me, I’d sooner shut down my escort agency than get into bed with THEM.

   This is also why the IRS requires attorneys and financial advisors to notify tax clients that they are prohibited from giving legal advice that will help evade penalties or additions to tax. (See IRC 230 Circular).

3. Lack of understanding of how the modern escort industry works.
4. They find the whole idea of the industry distasteful and don’t want to participate in furthering it (usually linked to #3, and most common with older lawyers).

So there you have it. The 4 main reasons why attorneys don’t want to represent escort service owners.

If you’re an escort agency owner or hope to become an escort agency owner, you should understand the difference between in-call and out-call escort services. Although some agencies may offer both, it is wise to understand the ins and outs of each before deciding what options your escort agency will offer.

An in-call escort service means that the client will come to you; an out-call escort service means that you will go to the client. For in-calls, you are the host; for out-calls the client is the host. The fundamental difference between in-call and out-call is pretty easy to understand, but the sections below discuss some of the nuances of each in more detail.
Out-Call
Out-calls usually occur either in clients’ houses or in hotels. When you run an out-call service, you avoid hotel or office rental costs that would be associated with in-call services. However, with an out-call service, you will probably need to hire drivers, who may occasionally double as body guards. (For both in-call and out-call escort services it is ideal to have some type of security available.) With some agencies, the escort provides most of the driver’s pay, but in other cases, the agency will provide most of the pay. Oftentimes, the agency will pay the driver per call and the escort will then tip them.

Although the gas, car mileage, and driver’s fees are an added cost associated with out-calls but not with in-calls, doing out-calls may allow you to draw customers from a much larger region. Also, with out-calls, the volume of business that you can handle is limited by the number of escorts you have working instead of by the number of rooms that you have available.

In-Call

In-calls are usually done either in your agency’s building or office space or in a hotel room that you rent. If you are renting a building specifically for your agency so you can offer in-calls, you will need to maintain the premises and, more importantly, ensure that the interior is clean and inviting. You’ll need to have clean linens and fresh towels available. Make sure that you regularly take out the trash to avoid any build-up of odor. Your clients are paying for a pleasurable, professional service so you will need to keep your in-call location tidy and odor-free. Also – although it should hopefully be obvious – in-call agency offices are not the place to enjoy a bring-your-children-to-work day.

If you intend to do your in-calls in hotels and motels, you need to make sure you pick the right base of operations. Thus, you should shy away from small mom-n-pop motels where your agency’s activity will more likely be noticed. Also, look for hotels that have multiple entrances so that your clients will not have to pass by the front desk every time they enter or exit the building. You may also want to consider personalizing the hotel room environment by providing some candles or additional towels.

In-call services tend to encounter more legal barriers than out-call services and are generally considered riskier in this regard. When I started my very first escort service, believe it or not, I launched it from my bachelor or some people call it a studio apartment.

The next place I moved to was a semi detached house where I remained for 1-2 years until I moved to a much larger house.

Can you run an escort service from home

I do get asked this question sometimes about whether one can run an escort service from their home.

I say that yes, you can start off running your escort agency from your home, but down the road you may have to move to a commercial space, especially if your escort business becomes VERY busy. Busy means you are making lots of money, so this shouldn’t be a problem for you.

So I’ve been asked on a few occasions if men (males) should own or run an escort service (agency) & I remember being kind of surprised that one would even ask this question, but I guess that’s what I’m here for, to educate people.

So my answer is this…

There are tons of guys out there who own and run escort services. Unfortunately I consider a good percentage of them to be pimps, but if you are NOT a pimp or don’t act like a pimp, then I welcome you to the escort industry.

Yes some escorts may be more leery of talking to you at first because you are a male, but I also find that many escorts respect men more then women which I remember shocked me the first time I realized this. Unfortunately those are usually the escorts who are highly dysfunctional & they don’t respect themselves let alone another woman, but I digress.

I used to hire men to be my phone person & some did even better than females, so it all depends on your personality. If you can make the girls feel comfortable & relate to the male customers, you should have no problem owning & running an escort service.

Bottom line is, if you are a nice ethical professional male who wants to run an escort agency, I welcome you to the escort industry.
