Seeking Experienced Bookkeeper
We are a small, professional, independent publisher of a book on a business model for the escort industry. This is sold through our website and other book purchasing sites. We value our team members and offer the following:

WHAT WE NEED
Currently we are in need of a motivated, talented, and forward-thinking Bookkeeper to do out monthly books (approx. 2 hours per month or less). There is NO payroll required.
At this point we need you to complete every month from January 2008 until present, so it will be more than 2 hours to start.
After you have been with us for a while, we may start expanding your position to do the books for our US clients, so you need to have the US version of QB.
We are in Canada, so you will need to learn (on your own time) what's involved in filing GST. This can be done online, & the software does it for you, but you still need to learn about it.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
We will only accept responses from individuals that possess the following job-related qualifications:
- Has excellent bookkeeping skills & is NOT just a data entry person for QB. This means in the past you have done books by hand so you don't rely only on a program to find mistakes for you because a program is only as good as the person using it.
- Has excellent working knowledge of QB Pro.
We use QB Pro for Canada which has the US dollar option because all revenue is in USD. For the right bookkeeper we will provide you with the software, but you must already have the US version of QB Pro in your possession. - Has working knowledge of GST remittance, or is willing to learn. (see above)
- Has bank reconciliation experience.
- Has working knowledge of budgeting.
- Has working knowledge of figuring out which expenses are the highest, lowest, how much they go up or down monthly etc., how many sales are needed to cover fixed expenses & can provide that info in an easy to read format.
- Has working knowledge of categorizing expenses & income under the appropriate categories. We will provide you with the list, but you MUST care about where the expenses are filed.
- Has working knowledge of online business categories for expenses, or is willing to learn on their own.
- Has working knowledge of figuring out how much we really make from one sale after all expenses and/or merchant account fees are taken off.
- Understands how delinquent payments (A/R) are handled.
- Has working knowledge in determining if the merchant account fees coming out of the account are accurate.
- Produces reports in an easy-to-read manner.
- If you are certified to do tax returns, that is a bonus.
- Returns e-mails promptly every time, & has excellent written communication skills. You notify us of when you need our paperwork, you ask questions when you don't know where something goes, & you don't have to be notified to do our books, that's your job.
- Someone who is a nice, down to earth person, secure with themselves, really likes to help companies grow, & loves their clients.

- You are not afraid of online companies, you have worked virtually before, and you are Internet Savvy!
- Be detail-oriented and confident in making suggestions when you see that something may be improved.
- Have the ability to be organized, set and meet deadlines and work independently in a virtual work environment.
- Possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills to include being able to follow explicit instructions via e-mail, instant messaging and on the phone.
- Demonstrate strong ethics and a solid personal commitment to your responsibilities.
- The desire to work in a friendly, down to earth, virtual workplace that applauds innovation and common sense.
