Seeking Article Copywriter
We are a small, professional, independent publisher of a book on a business model for the escort industry. This is sold through our website and other book purchasing sites. We value our team members and offer the following:
- career and compensation growth for long-term contractors
- the ability to work virtually
- professional training
- an intellectual work environment, and
- a fun atmosphere!
WHAT WE NEED
Currently, we are in need of a motivated, talented, and forward-thinking Article Copywriter who will be responsible for articles for all of our sites, as well as our monthly business ezine (due on the 1st, so everything needs to be finished by the 3rd week of every month). You will be the one in charge of determining which topics will be written and which articles will mesh together, so some administrative skill is required, as you are in charge & must be able to organize articles that are sent to you.
You will either write them up from scratch or rewrite existing articles.
You will be responsible for basic fact checking (all articles must have accurate information, no guessers please).
You will NOT be writing erotica & at this point there will be no articles dealing with sexuality, but you do have to be open-minded & if we ever start writing about sexuality, you cannot be shy about this basic human topic.
We are NOT looking for someone who is crude. Sleaze is NOT what we are about.
The ezine articles are conversational, informative, & generally educate re: business.
WHAT WE REQUIRE
We will only accept emails from individuals that possess the following job-related qualifications:
- Has prior ezine writing experience. If you haven't written ezines for other companies, please do NOT respond.
- Your writing style is down-to-earth, educational, conversational, yet it's fun & exciting. If you have a good sense of humour, that is a plus.
- We only seek people who know how to write short articles. Articles vary from 214 to 537 words. Nothing much longer than that.
- Has sales writing experience to soft sell what we are trying to sell the readers, which could be an e-book, a beauty product, a service, etc.
Additionally, in order for us to consider your email, you must meet the following requirements:
- The intellect to understand that although we publish a book that serves to educate on how to establish an adult industry related business, it does not diminish our level of professionalism, nor our ability to run an effective, profitable business, and treat contractors, vendors, etc. with respect.
We also build businesses that are mainstream, all geared towards helping the public. - Be detail-oriented and confident in making suggestions when you see that something may be improved.
- Have the ability to be organized, set and meet deadlines and work independently in a virtual work environment.
- Possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills to include being able to follow explicit instructions via e-mail, instant messaging and on the phone.
- Demonstrate strong ethics and a solid personal commitment to your responsibilities.
- The desire to work in a friendly, down to earth, virtual workplace that applauds innovation and common sense.
Please include the following in your e-mail, & expect to receive an online application in your inbox:
- The keywords "I'm your new Article Copywriter" in the heading of your email.
- Tell us how many different styles of ezines you have written for & what their subject matter was.
- Detail how many years of writing ezines you have.
- Detail which of the writing styles/traits you posses that were listed above.
- Explain whether you have ever managed an ezine before.
- List how many years you have been working virtually online
- Forward us your professional references who can verify your ezine copywriting experience.
- We are looking at around $50/article, & for the monthly ezine, around $100 to start, with a 3 month review. These rates may be negotialbe depending on your experience.
- List your top three strengths and your top three areas for improvement (everyone has areas for improvement, so you will not be pre-judged by your answer).
We estimate it should take someone experienced no more than 3-4 hours to do this, even with the articles going back & forth.
Editors & admin assistance will be provided upon request.
Be prepared to show us articles you have written (online) that are similar in length & flavour, to what we are seeking.
Thank you
